On October 15th MY-FI project organized its final conference during the ECOSYSTEX summit. This event was an opportunity to showcase how MY-FI is pioneering sustainable solutions through the development of mycelium based biofabricated materials.

In the morning session, Annalisa Moro from MOGU presented key insights from MY-FI’s journey, highlighting advancements in creating mycelium-based materials tailored for the luxury fashion and automotive sectors. These innovations set the stage for a new era of sustainable materials that cater to both design and environmental standards.

The day continued with an insightful panel discussion, led by Amy Congdon, PhD, from Biofabricate, where industry leaders and experts from MOGU, Bird & Bird, Guardini, Giorgio Armani, and Spin360 explored topics on regulation, ecodesign, and the future of biobased materials. Panelists including María García Torreiro, Silvia Gava, Paola Bologna, Claudia Ricciardi, Tiziano Guardini, Vito Colacurcio, and Federico Brugnoli shared diverse perspectives on the evolving landscape of sustainable fashion.

Our deepest thanks go out to ECOSYSTEX and Textile ETP for their support and commitment to collaborative innovation. The MY-FI project may have concluded, but its legacy continues to inspire transformative solutions in sustainability.
